West Newbury Agricultural Committee moves meetings to 4 PM on first Wednesdays. Chair Richard Baker, Vice Chair John Adams, Member Lydia Sisson, and newly appointed Select Board representative Wendy Reed voted unanimously to adopt the new schedule. The committee also unanimously authorized Baker to draft a press release to the real estate community promoting the town's Right to Farm bylaw, to be submitted to Town Manager Angus Jennings for distribution to four real estate publications.
The committee is organizing a February farmer event and will coordinate with multiple town committees on the future use of town-owned agricultural land, with the Select Board preferring licensing agreements over requests for proposals.
