WEST NEWBURY — Climate Change Resiliency Committee discusses path forward on River Road project after MVP withdrawal. Chair Elizabeth Callahan reported the Select Board withdrew from the municipal vulnerability grant in January but indicated willingness to revisit in six months. Committee members plan to propose the same project next year, possibly through the Merrimack Valley Planning Commission, and are exploring multi-town collaboration favored by the state program.
Nancy Pau has made contacts in Haverhill, and Callahan will present at an upcoming MVPC workshop on sea level rise and extreme weather challenges.
