Conservation Commission approves two trail boardwalk bridge projects

West Newbury Conservation Commission approves two trail bridges and advances major wetland review. The Commission voted unanimously to issue Certificates of Compliance for Essex County Trail Association boardwalk bridges at 47 Coffin Street and 649 Main Street. The Commission also unanimously authorized a peer review RFP for a major wetland delineation at 187 Main Street, the former Knapps Greenhouse site, which identified more than 3,000 linear feet of wetland lines.

The Commission heard a presentation on Newburyport's $330,000 alum treatment proposal for the Artichoke Reservoirs to address cyanobacteria blooms affecting the city's water supply.
