CONSERVATION COMMISSION CLOSES HEARING ON TRANSMISSION LINE WORK

WEST NEWBURY — Conservation Commission closes hearing on National Grid transmission project. Chair Molly Hawkins and Vice Chair David Parrott led the commission in unanimously closing the public hearing on National Grid's transmission line maintenance project along 394 Transmission Line, enabling the commission to develop conditions for the work. The project involves a 493 square foot wetland replication area at a hillside seep with work anticipated in fall 2028 or spring 2029.

National Grid's consultant Hannah Raddatz confirmed the company will submit weekly reports and coordinate with stakeholders on trail crossings during the project.
