WEST NEWBURY — Energy and Sustainability Committee approves March minutes, charts heat pump outreach for HVAC replacement. Chair Arthur (Chip) Wallace reported National Grid has converted 25 percent of the town's streetlights to LED; municipal aggregation enrolled 1,264 residential customers who saved over $182,000 between April and December 2025, averaging nearly $15 per month. Richard Parker is pursuing a National Grid energy audit for the Public Safety Building and will present to town meeting on heat pump alternatives to a proposed gas-fired HVAC replacement.
Elisa Grammer will prepare website content on aggregation results and upcoming Department of Public Utilities proceedings on time-varying electric rates.
