Finance Committee approves $16,500 sewer pipe repair and backs four warrant articles.

WEST NEWBURY — Finance Committee advances budget review with four water-related warrant articles. The committee unanimously approved a $16,500 reserve fund transfer to repair a failing sewer pipe at the Page School and voted 5-0 on warrant articles supporting a water system master plan update, water rate study, $15,000 transfer to the water pension liability stabilization fund, and authorization to lease town land for cellular infrastructure. The Pentucket School District's FY27 assessment for West Newbury stands at $10,173,707 after updated retirement assessments reduced initial projected savings from $850,000 to approximately $617,000.

The committee is scheduled to vote on the full FY27 budget at its April 1 meeting.
