Historical Commission approves Artichoke Village story for website posting.

Historical Commission · Meeting of April 21, 2026

WEST NEWBURY — The West Newbury Historical Commission approved a draft narrative about the Artichoke Village and its postmistress for website posting and circulation. Members Jennifer L. Munson and David Danis will report at Town Meeting on April 27th about historic house plaques and Danis' antique home profile work; Munson has prepared mailing materials for a History Sites Survey announcement.

The commission also recommended a historic plaque for St. Anne's Church and reminded the Town Manager and Select Board that strike bars proposed for federally and state-listed Rocks Bridge would require state historical consultation under 950 CFR § 71.
