WEST NEWBURY — Historical Commission approves December minutes, advances multiple preservation projects. Clerk Elisa Grammer reported the town will allow the Commission direct control of its webpages and outlined progress on a Community Preservation Plan accepted by the CPC; the Commission voted to add landscapes including stone walls and Post Office Square to historically significant resources eligible for CPC funding. Robert M.
Belmont, Jr. is expanding the Library's oral history project and developing profiles of 45 militia members from the Training Field who joined the Revolutionary War in 1775 for local school distribution. Grammer will research the Battle of Saratoga and work with the Brigadier General James Brickett Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution on a plaque honoring Brickett's birthplace; the Commission's annual budget remains at $600.
