Mill Pond Committee approves six special permits and advances dock project.

Mill Pond Committee · Meeting of May 27, 2026

WEST NEWBURY — Mill Pond Committee approves six special permits and advances dock extension. Chair Jennifer Costain's committee granted permits for Cub Scout and Girl Scout camping, a July baby shower, September boy scout and environmental events, and an October fishing derby, all approved unanimously. The dock extension cleared Conservation Commission review without requiring engineer drawings and moves forward to the Select Board.

A Family Movie Night on June 26 was approved with Fun Flicks providing equipment; the committee simultaneously advanced trail marking work using Community Preservation Act funds expiring June 30 and formed a stakeholder group to recommend pond-area signage upgrades.
