WEST NEWBURY — Parks and Recreation Commission approves $24,400 work list for DPW projects. Chair Douglas Mead and Clerk Wendy Willis unanimously backed four prioritized capital improvements: snack shack painting ($2,800), tool box at Pipestave ($300), Pipestave soccer field black top railing ($5,200), and softball field bleachers ($6,500). Two items — a batting cage ($9,600) and Cammett Park scoreboard replacement — remain under review, with DPW Director Brian Richards directed to continue researching non-electronic scoreboard options.
The approved projects will be drawn from approximately $40,000 in available Parks and Recreation and DPW Parks budget line funds.
