WEST NEWBURY — Select Board unanimously approves ARPA reallocation and removes fire capital articles. Town Accountant Jenny Walsh reported unspent funds from Page School Temporary Shoring and Personal Protective Firefighting Gear would be redirected to the Middle Street Bridge Project. In separate votes, the Board unanimously approved a waiver of right of first refusal for 4.28 acres at 125 River Road and removed Articles 30 and 31 from the spring Town Meeting warrant after Fire Chief Dwyer agreed to pursue grant funding rather than seek capital appropriations for breathing apparatus units and an off-road utility vehicle.
Chair Wendy Reed deferred action on adopting Massachusetts General Law Chapter 32B Section 9E regarding increased OPEB contributions pending further Select Board discussion.
