WEST NEWBURY — Select Board approves Conservation Commission appointments and special events. Chair Wendy Reed and Members Christopher Wile and Barry Fogel unanimously voted to appoint Jennifer Boyd and Rick Spieler to the Conservation Commission with terms ending June 30, 2029. The board also unanimously approved the Summer Bandstand Concert Series for June through August and conditionally approved a Mill Pond Movie Night on June 26.
Town Manager Angus Jennings announced his resignation effective July 31, 2026, with a consultant contract executed to support the Town Manager search, including a community survey distribution scheduled for the following week. The board approved updated PEG fund procedures, a Drug Take-Back grant submission, and revised the FY27 holiday schedule, closing the library on July 3-4, 2026 and June 18-19, 2027.
