West Newbury Select Board approved fall community events with operational conditions. Chair Wendy Reed, Vice Chair Christopher Wile, and Clerk Barry Fogel unanimously approved five special event permits and one liquor license for events from September through October, including an Apple Harvest Run fundraiser. Two permits received specific conditions: the Hunting Roading Fixture required dogs to be leashed in parking areas and adjacent paths, while the Pipestave Hill Horse Trials required Police presence at the Page School crossing.
The liquor license for the Apple Harvest Run was approved pending verification that the applicant's insurance covers liquor liability.
