West Newbury Select Board and Finance Committee endorse water articles, approve cellular tower lease. In joint session March 26, the boards unanimously endorsed Article 8 (Water System Master Plan, $45,000), Article 9 (Water Rate Study), and Article 10 (transfer $15,000 to Water Pension Liability Stabilization), along with Article 46 authorizing a 30-year lease of Brake Hill Water Tank land for cellular infrastructure, with sunset date June 30, 2028. Town Manager Angus Jennings stated lease revenues would offset Water Department costs.
The Finance Committee separately approved a $16,500 reserve fund transfer for Page School sewer pipe replacement, and the Select Board approved three half-marathon event permits for summer and fall 2026.
