WEST NEWBURY — Select Board approves amended warrants for April 27 Town Meetings, removing wireless tower and cannabis articles. The Board, led by Chair Wendy Reed and Member Christopher Wile, unanimously approved the revised warrants after deciding to postpone the Brake Hill water tank cellular infrastructure article to the fall pending additional details. The board appointed Ann Bardeen, Tom Ellis, Wendy Reed, Gary Roberts, and Jennifer Walsh to the Organizational Assessment Committee to guide recruitment of the next Town Manager.
Town Manager Angus Jennings announced his planned departure in late July following acceptance of a Business Manager position at Whittier Technical School, with Sonja Nathan hired as the incoming Council on Aging Director, starting April 27.
