Select Board nominates two for Inspector of Animals, declines to reopen spring warrant
Select Board · Meeting of April 1, 2026
West Newbury Select Board unanimously nominates two for Inspector of Animals. Chair Wendy Reed and member Christopher Wile voted to nominate Kayla Provencher and Michelle Parsons to the post at the April 1 meeting. The Board declined to reopen the fiscal 2027 spring Town Meeting warrant, instead deferring a proposed PFAS settlement fund transfer to the fall and committing to pursue consulting costs for a potential Town Manager search via line item transfer after May 1.
Reed and Wile authorized establishing a committee to engage with a consultant on an Organizational Assessment, with proposed membership including Town Accountant Jennifer Walsh, Planning Board Chair Ann Bardeen, Finance Committee member Gary Roberts, and resident Tom Ellis.
