WEST NEWBURY — Select Board preps April 27 town meeting logistics and motion review. Chair Wendy Reed, member Christopher Wile, Town Moderator KC Swallow, Town Manager Angus Jennings, Town Clerk Amanda Haggstrom, and Finance Committee members met to finalize draft motions and arrange logistics. Damage to Pentucket Middle/High School auditorium from a recent fire required moving Town Meeting to the Annex.
Reed proposed angling floor tables to improve sightlines; Swallow agreed to limit stage occupants to Town Counsel and Town Clerk. Finance Committee members will read motion rationales; non-resident staff may answer questions but not advocate positions.
