WEST NEWBURY — Select Board reviews reappointment process for town boards and committees. Chair Wendy Reed reported Town Clerk Amanda Haggstrom has scheduled member reappointments for June 18 or June 25, with Christopher Wile stressing the importance of committee members appearing to discuss work expectations. The board reviewed a working charge document listing board and commission mission statements and composition, with Wile assigned to generate additional charges ahead of the June 18 meeting.
A draft BCC Handbook prepared by Haggstrom was discussed as clarifying the role of appointed committees within town government; further refinements will follow the pending Organizational Assessment and arrival of the next Town Manager.
