Water commissioners approve $1.19M budget and consulting studies

WEST NEWBURY — Water commissioners approve $1.19 million budget and consulting studies. Board Chair Robert Janes, members John Haley and Mark Hemingway, and Water Superintendent Mark Marlowe unanimously approved the FY2027 operating budget of $1,192,050. The board authorized Tighe & Bond to conduct a Rate Study not to exceed $24,600 and a Master Plan Study not to exceed $45,000.

Unanimously approved actions also included a $15,000 transfer to the Water Pension Liability Stabilization Fund and endorsement of a $1,301.25 Merrimac Police Detail invoice.
