West Newbury Conservation Commission approves Main Street dwelling unit. The commission unanimously approved an order of conditions for a 141 Main Street accessory dwelling unit and septic system project in a 100-foot wetland buffer, with conditions on stockpiling and erosion controls. Applicant Michael Crowe presented modifications including relocated sewer lines and stairs; the Board of Health is expected to impose a deed restriction limiting the property to three bedrooms.
The commission also voted unanimously to increase summer 2026 intern funding from $7,500 to $10,000 and to move $8,000 from its revolving account to cover a portion of the Conservation Agent's fiscal year 2027 salary.
