WEST NEWBURY — Agricultural Committee approves December minutes and advances farming initiatives. Chair Richard Baker reported the 2026-2027 budget will be covered under the town's general fund. Member Lydia Sisson agreed to set up committee email and organize a farmer potluck event.
The committee discussed licensing town-owned land for hay production and Right to Farm notifications to appear on tax bills and reach real estate agents; Baker is following up on bylaw wording with the Agricultural Commissioner. Several coordination items with conservation and town agencies remain pending for future meetings.
