WEST NEWBURY — Board of Water Commissioners approves August 11 minutes unanimously at August 25 meeting. Chair Robert Janes, members John Haley and Mark Hemingway, Water Superintendent Mark Marlowe, and Administrative Assistant Jodi Bertrand attended. Haley recommended the Tighe & Bond rate study remain focused on currently defined scope to deliver final reports by February 2027 for use in 2028 budgeting.
Water Department closed out the Church and Prospect Street project after DeFelice's contractor confirmed roadway repairs were contract-covered at no additional cost. Marlowe will seek modified billing formats and rate-tier confirmation from Newburyport to project FY2027 water purchase budget impacts ahead of October Town Meeting warrant preparation.
