WEST NEWBURY — Select Board approves seasonal part-time grounds maintenance worker. The board unanimously authorized the hire to assist with lawn maintenance and fall leaf cleanup, granting Town Manager Angus Jennings discretion on job posting requirements. Chair Wendy Reed and Member Barry Fogel voted in favor, with Christopher Wile absent.
Jennings updated the board on staffing transitions: Patricia Moore started as Town Treasurer/Collector and a new Department of Public Works operator is on board. Pickleball courts are in final construction stages with 30-minute to 90-minute reservations coming soon, while the Middle Street Bridge awaits guard rail installation before paving.
