Select Board approves Friends of Library book sale permit with conditions

WEST NEWBURY — Select Board approves one special event permit, defers five others pending revisions. Chair Wendy Reed, Vice Chair Christopher Wile, and Clerk Barry Fogel unanimously approved the Friends of the Library book sale special event permit for Sept. 11-19 with sandwich board signage and parking restrictions during nearby daycare operating hours. Permits for Adventure Trail Ride, Hunting Roading Fixture, Pipestave Hill Horse Trails, and Apple Harvest Run were deferred.
Interim Town Manager Sean Fitzgerald reported that the town manager job posting has circulated; the Town Governance Committee will screen applications due around Sept. 15, present at least three qualified candidates, and interview finalists in mid-November.
