Select Board approves three appointments and hunting permission at August meeting

WEST NEWBURY — Select Board appoints three to Council on Aging, approves hunting permission. Chair Wendy Reed and members Christopher Wile and Barry Fogel unanimously approved Mary Aceto, Nancy Lee, and Linda Luecken to the Council on Aging, and also unanimously granted Stuart Georgitis permission to bow hunt on Sawmill Brook property for 2026, pending Conservation Commission sign-off. The board appointed Ioana Horotan-Enescu to voting member status on the Mill Pond Committee.
Town mission statement development was tabled to the next meeting; Interim Town Manager Sean Fitzgerald will prepare draft consensus language and individual proposals for review.
