Affordable Housing Trust reviews ADU promotion and grant program updates

Affordable Housing Trust · Meeting of July 8, 2026

WEST NEWBURY — The Affordable Housing Trust approved its June minutes and reviewed draft materials for accessory dwelling unit promotion and a revised small grant application form. Chair Wendy Reed will incorporate edits for final review at the next meeting. Members Karen Holmes and Elsa Francescone reported on their attendance at the Massachusetts Housing Partnership and NECCO conferences, finding the latter more directly applicable to West Newbury's housing priorities.

Reed disclosed that she has met with an applicant for the Resettlement Partnership project to discuss units potentially qualifying for the Subsidized Housing Inventory, but the trust will await resolution of a pending Title V variance before proceeding.
