Conservation Commission approves Middle Street compliance, continues application

West Newbury Conservation Commission approves permits and hunting, continues driveway application. The Commission, chaired by Margaret (Molly) Hawkins, voted unanimously to issue a Certificate of Compliance for 154 Middle Street in response to an updated stormwater management plan submitted by applicant Margo Cooper. In separate unanimous votes, the Commission approved bow hunting permission for resident Stuart Georgitis in the Sawmill Brook area and voted to continue a Notice of Intent application for 0 Middle Street to September 28 pending peer reviewer completion.

The Commission noted that water quality certification requirements may affect most of Middle Street and some of Garden Street due to drainage to important drinking-water-supply waterways.
